IDT’s ACR123U is a highly adaptable and cost-effective contactless reader that offers a plethora of features designed to enhance the payment experience for both merchants and customers. As a USB version of the ACR123S, it is easily integrated with existing Point-of-Sale terminals or cash registers, making it an ideal solution for merchants looking to offer a cashless payment system to their customers.  ACR123U is its ability to speed up movement in checkout counters. This is achieved by enabling customers to complete payments quickly and easily, by simply tapping their contactless cards. This not only speeds up the payment process but also reduces wait times for customers.

The ACR123U is equipped with a large graphical LCD display, which allows merchants to display messages and prompts to customers. This can be particularly useful in situations where customers may need additional guidance when completing their payment transactions. Additionally, the ACR123U has a large user-controllable tapping area with backlighting, which helps guide customers in carrying out their payment transactions. This is particularly useful in low-light environments or when customers may be unfamiliar with the payment process. Developed based on 13.56 MHz contactless (RFID) technology, the ACR123U supports any contactless card following the ISO 14443-4 standard. This means that it can be used with a wide range of contactless payment cards, making it a versatile solution for merchants.
