The ACR1281U-C1 DualBoost II by IDT is the next iteration of ACS’s ACR128 DualBoost Reader. It is a dual interface reader that complies with ISO 7816 and ISO 14443 standards, allowing it to access both contact and contactless smart cards. By combining separate contact and contactless technologies into one device and card, the ACR1281U-C1 DualBoost II enables users to integrate multiple smart card applications into a single card for online transactions, such as secure credit card payments and topping up contactless cards for automated fare collection systems.

This reader supports both contact and contactless interfaces and has high-speed communication for contactless cards, making it ideal for demanding applications. Additionally, it features a built-in SAM slot for added security, can detect contactless cards incorrectly placed in the contact card slot, and has USB firmware upgradability, contact memory card support, and extended APDU support, making it a powerful and cost-effective all-in-one device that offers convenience and flexibility for various smart card applications. The DualBoost Series is fully compliant with PC/SC standards.
